All Attention to attention, Please

Writer: BforBInternationalBforBInternational

Really? What does that even mean?

In today’s world, attention is a prized commodity. Businesses spend millions on TV and radio ads, securing prime time slots. Billboards, magazines, and other print media follow the same pattern—competing fiercely for eyeballs. But now, the internet has changed everything. With an overwhelming amount of information coming at us from all directions, attention is more divided than ever.

The Rise (and Struggles) of Permission Marketing

To tackle this challenge, experts introduced a new concept: permission marketing. The idea? Instead of bombarding people with ads, businesses would seek their consent—hence the tick boxes we now see everywhere. Tick the box, and boom! You’re subscribed. Some legal professionals might call this Data Protection Permission or simply subscriber consent.

But does it really guarantee attention? Not necessarily.

These days, attention is fleeting. People are dazzled, distracted, and overloaded with content. So, how do we break through the noise?

How BforB Networking Clubs Make a Difference

At BforB networking clubs, we take a different approach. Instead of chasing attention, we create an environment where attention is given willingly.

Local businesses invest their time and effort to be present at our clubs. They dedicate 90 minutes—sometimes up to three hours—to focused networking. This commitment separates those who are simply curious from those who are serious about growing their business.

To reinforce this focus, we have structured processes that ensure members stay engaged:

✅ Club Metrics & Goal Tracking – Measuring progress and success.

✅ Long-Term Connectivity – Building relationships that last.

✅ Active Listening & Collaboration – Fostering mutual support and business growth.

And finally;

Attention is valuable. Make sure your network is paying attention to you—and just as importantly, make sure you’re paying attention to them.
